Christmas cheer for the kids of Barnardo’s
1,528 motorcycles with 447 pillions attended the Reading Toy Run this year. The run which goes from The Amec Foster Wheeler building (now called Wood Group plc) to High Close School, the Barnardo’s school in Wokingham is in its 33rd year.
Last year’s run had to be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, but this year the sun came out to play which ensured a great turnout.
The run takes place on a closed road sanctioned by Wokingham Borough Council, so it must be closely marshalled. A large percentage of the marshals come from TVAM and the organisers would like to pass on their heartfelt thanks to all from the club who gave up their time for this worthy cause.
