CLAMS (Camberley & London)

Who are we?

We are a bunch of friendly, like minded folk who enjoy nothing more than enjoying the countryside on two wheels with similar thinking folks!  CLAMS stands for ‘Camberley and London Advanced Motorcyclists’ so our membership covers a large area. We have members from Camberley, Sandhurst, Blackwater, Ascot, Kingston, Sutton and even further afield.  In fact, we cover from as far east as the borough of Westminster in London, as far west as Farnborough and as far south as people want to come! We welcome everyone to the group, any badge colour, any job (or not), any background, even car drivers are welcome!

Team Leader: Clive Marsden

Meeting time and place

We meet regularly on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 8pm in the function room at The Miners Arms, Mytchett Road, Mytchett, GU16 6EZ.

During the Summer we sometimes forego the meeting and head off for a jaunt through the countryside on the bikes instead!

What do we do?

Every month we meet at St Crispin’s with everyone in TVAM, we also meet regularly for ride outs and always on the 4th Saturday of the month we meet at The Bushe Cafe at Blackbushe Airport (GU17 9LQ) at 09:00 for 09:30 departure. Our team leader, with the help of the wider team lead us on some great circular rides through the South of England providing plenty of practice for those going for their IAM Test and plenty of enjoyment for those who have already passed.

We also arrange some trips to other countries, Scotland, for example, even across the water on occasions to France, Germany and Spain for a bit of sunshine!

We have a wide membership, ‘Associates’ starting out with TVAM and progressing towards their test, ‘Green’ members who have passed their tests building on existing skills, Trainee and qualified Observers supporting others to ensure enjoyment for all members.  Our members are actively involved in other areas of the club too; be that on the committee or helping to run and organise training for members such as Look Lean and Roll.

Join us, come have fun, learn new skills, find roads and places you never knew existed and make new friends!
